How do i change the file size for when i try to burn a DVD? The movie plays for about 40 minutes and stops.?

I use the program DVD Clone and it rips the movie from the actual DVD, and then asks me to insert the blank DVD. Once I do this the burn starts and once it finishes I insert the burned DVD into a DVD player and all the chapters, title menus, and everything looks good. After about 40 minutes the movie stops and goes back to the title screen. I'm thinking maybe the file size isn't compressed enough to fit on the blank DVD, but I have no idea how to change that. This has happened with 3 different blank DVD's and 3 different movies. I'm assuming it's something with the settings.How do i change the file size for when i try to burn a DVD?
