Is there a way to reduce an images file size, without reducing its quality?

I know how to make the file size smaller when I save it, but then it looks really stupid because it has really bad quality.

Right now its 315K and I need it down to 40K.. is there any way to do this without reducing the quality too much?

..Also I can't change the actual size (760x375).. it needs to be that..

Sorry if its not explained properly..Is there a way to reduce an images file size, without reducing its quality?
You should try opening it with Adobe Photoshop then %26quot;Save as...%26quot; ,type in a different name and after clicking save another window appears which lets you select the JPG quality.

Another neat trick you can use is renaming the extension .jpg to .jpeg . You can lose some KB just by doing that.
